Rhi, you might find this ‘intersting’…
I was at work…working. Which means I was in the garden center, as the cashier, ringing, hosing down the ground, watering, taking care of the plants, making sure clearance was marked properly, blah fucking blah. And I had this one customer, who is now very…

Quote reblogged from the rebel queen
There is a certain feel to witchcraft, a humour and enthusiasm, often missing in other groups. Witchcraft combines the ideal and the mundane. It blends spiritual intensity and romanticism with the lovable, paunchy flaws of the flesh. Fantasies of elfin unicorns side comfortably with bawdy Pans. The high priest of the coven I joined described this as “the goat and the gazelle”: “all witches have a little of each.” Part of this is the practice itself. People can look slightly ridiculous standing around naked in someone’s living room. One needs a sense of humour in order to tolerate the practice, as well as enough romanticism to take it seriously. And witches are perhaps the only magicians who incorporate humour into their practice. Their central invocation, the declamation of the priestess-turned-goddess, calls for “mirth and reverence.” Laughter often rings within the circle, though rarely in the rites. One high priestess spontaneously explained to me that “being alive is really rather funny. Wicca is the only religion that captures this.

I went on a hike today. At this spot I stopped and did something that I hadn’t done in the 10 years since I left Wicca. I sat on the beautiful overlook, right on the rock and I did a grounding. While I do reiki on myself sometimes and work with energy; I hadn’t done a grounding ritual in this method in a long time.
Within a few moments I could feel a flowing, drawing in and out sensation. I thanked the Creator and the Earth and let it happen.
I feel so restored and so much better and I realized while I was out there that this has been missing from my life. Living in a city and working in a library for so long I have dedicated a lot to what I consider technomancy, but it’s never felt healing the way being amongst the cliffs did today.
I must start hiking again, even if I do have to drive to get there.

This is one of the beautiful gifts I got for my birthday this year.
This I got from Ryan. A few months ago when we did our regular trip to the pagan shop near Ryan’s house I saw it and would have gotten it if I had, had enough money.
When I went back with the intention of buying it, it was gone. Turns out Ryan has purchased it for me. He’s such a sweetie and I love him.

You casually ask what phase the moon is in, and she tells you down to the exact number of days, hour and minute of rising, position on horizon and current angle of declination.
All the stray cats in the neighborhood tend to congregate in her garden (and use your own as their litter)
The local…

44 Days of Witchery Day 32: A pagan artwork. I really like this one. I love the tree and the way the sun is on one side and the moon the other.
